“JUIDA New Year’s Gathering 2025” was Held. Declaring 2025 the “First Year of Future Creation”
On January 27 (Monday), “JUIDA New Year’s Gathering 2025” was held at Tokyo Kaikan in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. This event brought together stakeholders in the unmanned aircraft industry to foster deeper exchange and collaboration while praying for further growth and advancement in the drone industry.
More than 170 attendees gathered, including members of the National Diet, executives from relevant government ministries and agencies, representatives from related companies, and JUIDA members, along with JUIDA Secretariat staff.
Opening Address by President Mr. Shinji Suzuki
In his opening remarks, JUIDA President Mr. Shinji Suzuki expressed his gratitude for the organization’s 10th anniversary in July 2024. He also provided updates on JUIDA’s membership numbers, the number of JUIDA accredited schools, and the cumulative number of members who have obtained JUIDA licenses.
Furthermore, he introduced JUIDA’s key initiatives for industrial development, including the expansion of member services, promotion of the licensing business, and support activities for registered training institutions. He also highlighted JUIDA’s growing international partnerships, with Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) extending to 41 organizations in 28 countries.
Additionally, he reaffirmed JUIDA’s commitment to international standardization, organizing events, promoting academic research, and disaster relief efforts in collaboration with local governments and the Japan Self-Defense Forces.
For 2025, JUIDA adopted the slogan: “JUIDA First Year of Future Creation.”

Following a toast by JUIDA Advisor Mr. Yoshio Aoki, guests enjoyed a networking session.
As the venue’s roll-up curtains lifted simultaneously, a breathtaking view of the Imperial Palace unfolded before the attendees. The room buzzed with lively conversations, creating an enriching and meaningful time for all.
During the networking session, video messages from JUIDA’s international MOU partners were showcased on the event’s screen. Additionally, award-winning and finalist works from the Drone Movie Contest 2024 were introduced.
Finally, the event concluded with closing remarks by JUIDA Vice President Mr. Yasuhiro Senda.
